SnOw Fun

Believe it or not, the colder it is around here the more the back door bangs. It has to be really cold to keep anyone inside. If the temp is above freezing, my kids are outside for long periods of time. With all the snow this week, after starting on a snowman, they decided to make snow furniture. 

 The temp was in the thirties and the coats are history.

 I sent Erika out with the camera once I realized the creativity going on.

He can tolerate cold temperatures a lot better than hot.

Meanwhile, cha-ching, big brother is shoveling roofs in the neighborhood. 

More snow means more bucks for him.

Micah is going through quite a naughty stage but he always has a smile around the corner of his mouth so it is hard to be too terribly cross with him.

 A for effort?

This dear girl is sensitive to light and we really need to get her some sunglasses that she can hold on to. 

We have had a good winter without a whole lot of sickness. When we do get sick, it doesn't usually last that long. I can't help but think the amount of time spent outside playing, exercising, and soaking up the vitamin D must help!  Secondly, we don't have anyone in public school/college this year. The big kids were the ones who seemed to bring home the germs that traveled through the clan. I am thankful that we haven't had too much in the way of illness while we work on getting Joy medically stable.

So here's to the snow! And the fun that comes with it!
