Truck Brigade

Trucks keep appearing at our house. Usually on Friday nights. This isn't all of them. I think someone is appeasing his "inner child." I love that. It is boy heaven. Vroom, Vroom.....

Macho Man

The pictures tell the story. I love my camera. Someday I will learn how to use it. I also love my Macho Man. It is a balmy 36 degrees today. He is riding on a broken little kids snow scooter in the front yard.
This makes me think of riding a wild bronc. Either that or surfing. Wonder what he was thinking.
I think he was focused on the "jump."
Cool! Waiting for the little cohort to get out of the way.
Here he is. Playing on the jump.
Okay, coast is clear.Double twist with a......
touchdown and a......
Splat! Ohhhhhhhh........
I'm thinking there is a fine line between reporting the doings and having a little fun at my Macho Man's expense.

Feed Thyself!

Micah is now 19 months and has caught on to using silverware, well almost! The problem with having two boys exactly 12 months apart is that it is impossible NOT to compare milestones because I can actually remember within a year just about everything Trey did. Don't ask me when anybody else walked....it was average. Although Jerrod didn't get his first tooth until 13 months. I digress....Micah is slower than Trey was with the fine motor skills so I am excited that he is finally using his utensils appropriately, i.e. putting food where it belongs versus banging the table and throwing them around the room.
Sorry, blurry pictures but I am working on my camera skills. The expression was right on.
This was staged, so not as cute but still effective.
When the fork gets old, revert to what has worked all along. Caveman techniques.
"Hey, it works. I'm not starving."
Micah is doing very well drinking out of a big boy cup. We are so proud.
Guess who refuses to be left out?
A bigger cup for a bigger boy!Independence is a wonderful thing.

Tummy Time and Brotherly Love

Tummy time is so precious when you share it with your brother.
"I like your soft head, Rosy."
Sharing Momma's lap.
Cuddle time with brother.
I call this "Squishy cheek."

Sibs - Precious Sibs

I see some similarities. I did not search very hard for baby pictures (located on several computers) but came up with these.

Rosie at about 3 months.
Guess who? The blue should give it away. Micah at about 7 weeks.

There seems to be enough room for everybody.

"Hats" and "Time Out" from the Favorite Actors

Who needs cell phones! I mean really.
Return of the pink shower cap. One cool dude!
Hats and priceless expressions!

And now, the story of the time out. This is the time out spot. Micah likes to practice mostly because he wants to be just like his big brother. Trey is carefully showing Micah how to position himself correctly.
Okay. Now this is how it's done. You just sit here. Micah thinks this is pretty exciting.
Okay, that's enough.
"Actually, I think this is a big joke!""Can you even begin to imagine the mischief we are going to get into?"And to end the session, a little wrestle to the ground. "Uncle!"

At Long Last

Much to my chagrin, we had yet to all go anywhere together in what has been affectionately named "Big Mac," the voluminous red vehicle, who came home to be part of our family on January 19, 2010. Apparently we were waiting for all to be present and accounted for. On Saturday, February 20, 2010, the magic moment arrived. Don't they all look excited. I won't lie. There was intense posturing for seating preference. I don't think fist fights incurred but I don't know, I wasn't watching. If you look close you can see them all. The macho teenage boy is bending over scratching his leg, or picking lint out of his toenails, or something.
First Row: Babies obviously rate!
Second Row: Might get rowdy!
Back Row: Wow! At least they are smiling, sort of. Anything to humor Mom.
Our fearless leader.
We've arrived. Warning: These photos were definitely NOT taken by Lindsey M. Peterson. Sorry about the dirty van. It is winter. And now for the clowns.....
Okay, let's unload. Come on Trey.
Am I supposed to be smiling or something?
Jump!
Sprint!
Get me outta here!
Do not take a picture of my butt! Very funny mother. But I got the baby.Okay, little man.
Somebody's gotta be last.
This is the cool teenager look. Posed just in case the other one didn't come out.
I'm not sure when this will happen again. It was kind of anticlimatic. Did I mention that we drove exactly 1.0 mile to church. We did not all ride home together. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
