22 years and some change.
Departure is becoming inevitable.
Jobs are hunted.
Plans are laid.
Emotions are confused.
Every weekend, we practice the leaving.
As she heads back to school.
Only 8 weeks to go.
Four years of college under her belt.
Two degrees.
Ready for the next big step.
Then life will be different.
In a good yet melancholy sort of way.
Life will never be the same.
Nor would either of us want it to be.

I am the youngest in my family, and I watched all my brothers "grow up" and leave. Hard to be the one left behind.
