Leaving the kids was super hard. We were feeling a little anxious about all that. The minute we set foot on the commuter flight, we said good morning to the flight attendant and she said, "Isn't it a beautiful morning that the Lord gave us?" I thought, "This is the day that the Lord has made." Denise, our flight attendant was a ray of sunshine the whole flight. We had the first seats in the plane so we chatted it up a bit during the super smooth ride for such a small plane.
We had about 3 hours in Detroit to walk around. We will definitely be buying a stroller in China for Joshua. Lots of walking but it felt good knowing that we would be sitting for 14 hours. Bob was hungry for a decent meal so after we surveyed our options, we decided on:
This one is for the kids: Look at the plane we flew on. A 747 with an upstairs.
Bob got our bags while I held on to the cart, literally, to keep from falling over.
Wasn't much to customs. Sailed right through.
In our exhausted state, we went to the wrong floor, stood outside our room for a full 5 minutes trying to get in and then figured out the lights. Thank you, internet prep.
Check this out. It's a first. A round bed! Bob reports it is hard as a rock.
Over and out.
You have to wake up! Hu Fan Kang now Joshua is waiting! Have a great time. I am waiting for each post with great anticipation. ALL the beds in china are hard :)
